Enabling Swifter Healthcare Administration to Reduce Time Wastage and Employee Burnout

AdvancedMD, a provider of cloud-based healthcare software for independent medical practices, has officially announced the launch of more than 20 product updates across its practice management, EHR, and patient engagement solutions.

According to certain reports, this assortment of solutions arrives on the scene bearing an ability to optimize private practice workflows, all for the purposes of helping healthcare providers reclaim time spent on tedious and repetitive administrative burdens.

More on the same would reveal how AdvancedMD’S latest brainchild comes bearing multiple AI enhancements, including the rollout of AI-assisted pre-visit summaries and auto-population of insurance details within patient charts, done using an image of the patient’s insurance card.

To understand the significance of such a development, we must take into account one survey of 1,500 healthcare employees. The stated survey basically revealed that more than half of surveyed respondents are actually planning to change jobs in the next year, with many survey respondents citing burnout as a primary reason for their dissatisfaction.

Against that, for starters, AdvancedMD brings forth an assortment of practice management enhancements.

These enhancements include AdvancedMD Pay Refund facility, which makes it possible for AdvancedMD Pay customers to easily refund credit card payments to cardholders. The new refund button also replaces the previous “void” process for greater convenience.

Next up, we have an AdvancedMD Demographics dashboard coming into play. This dashboard packs together a column to improve the organization of patient information, making data easier to scan and find. Complementing that would be the availability of AdvancedMD patient cards that are auto-saved in the user’s preferred order.

Another detail worth a mention is rooted in the availability of a Patient Contact Card. The stated contact card basically enables clinicians to view and edit patient contact card information within the patient demographic dashboard, thus reducing time spent navigating multiple screens. Such a mechanism also makes a point to streamline care delivery through efficient workflows, while simultaneously ensuring compliance with privacy standards.

Turning our attention towards a group of EHR-focused enhancements, they include an updated ePrescribing Pro Package, which now features compound prescribing, drug and image imprint data, duplicate therapy alerts, a weight-based dosing calculator, and pharmacy location mapping supported by Google Maps.

More on the same would reveal how these updates are currently available in both the AdvancedMD EHR and mobile platforms.

Then, there are AI-assisted pre-visit summaries that bank upon AI technology to automatically create summaries of recent patient data, including labs, medications, and notes, helping clinicians prepare for appointments. Not just that, it also allows providers to retain full discretion over clinical decisions.

Alongside that, users can access an EHR Launch feature for FHIR Smart Apps. The said service enables clinicians to launch compatible apps from a patient chart. Such a mechanism, like you can guess, should improve access to external tools and data.

Over the last leg, AdvancedMD will introduce a host of patient engagement innovations.

These innovations, on their part, include AI-assisted Upload of Patient Insurance Card: This particular capability allows practices to view insurance cards uploaded by patients through the patient portal, telehealth intake processes, online intake processes, or the online scheduling platform. Beyond that, with the uploaded image, AdvancedMD AI-assisted technology automatically imports insurance details into a patient’s chart that can then be reviewed and saved by the healthcare provider.

In case the given factor wasn’t enough, practices can also seamlessly scan and import insurance card images directly to patient charts that can again reviewed and saved by the healthcare provider.

Rounding up highlights would be the Provider Patient Load and Availability. Here, AdvancedMD Scheduler can offer real-time visibility into provider availability and patient load percentages. The company will employ customizable settings for both schedule and patient load to let practices tailor the experience to match their unique workflows.

“These product updates highlight how AdvancedMD is utilizing smart AI implementations across our product suite, helping to optimize daily operations for private practices. Our goal has always been focused on helping providers gain back valuable time to focus on patient care. One of our product team leaders said it best: our 2025 fall release is where innovation meets workflow,” said Amanda Sharp, CEO of AdvancedMD.
