Launching a Comprehensive Drive to Unlock Unprecedented Health Administration Performance

AdvancedMD, a provider of cloud-based healthcare software for independent medical practices, has officially announced the launch of more than 20 product updates across its practice management, EHR, and patient engagement solutions.

According to certain reports, this assortment of solutions arrives on the scene bearing an ability to optimize private practice workflows, all for the purpose of helping healthcare providers reclaim time spent on tedious and repetitive administrative burdens. More on that would reveal how the update brings forth multiple AI enhancements, including the rollout of AI-assisted pre-visit summaries and auto-population of insurance details within patient charts using an image of the patient’s insurance card.

To understand the significance of such a development, we must take into account one survey, which assessed the opinion of more than 1,500 healthcare employees, eventually revealing that more than half are planning to change jobs in the next year, with many survey respondents citing burnout as a primary reason for their dissatisfaction.

Talk about these newly-introduced innovations on a slightly deeper level, we begin from AdvancedMD Pay Refund, which allows AdvancedMD Pay customers to easily refund credit card payments to cardholders. The new refund button markedly replaces the previous “void” process for greater convenience.

Next up, we have a Patient and Responsible Party. This translates to how AdvancedMD demographics dashboard now includes a column to improve the organization of patient information, making data easier to scan and find. Complementing that would be a facility for AdvancedMD patient cards to auto-save in the user’s preferred order.

Another detail worth a mention is rooted in the availability of a Patient Contact Card, which makes it possible for clinicians to view and edit patient contact card information within the patient demographic dashboard, reducing time spent navigating multiple screens. Such a mechanism can also streamline care delivery through more efficient workflows, while simultaneously supporting compliance with privacy standards.

Then, there is an ePrescribing Pro Package, an aspect where customers can come expecting compound prescribing, drug and image imprint data, duplicate therapy alerts, a weight-based dosing calculator, and pharmacy location mapping supported by Google Maps. Each of these features is also designed to enhance prescribing workflow and decision support.

Moving on, AdvancedMD has made available AI-assisted pre-visit summaries. You see, the AdvancedMD EHR platform is now able to automatically create summaries of recent patient data, including labs, medications, and notes. This it does to help clinicians prepare for appointments.

Alongside that, AdvancedMD has also introduced an EHR Launch solution for FHIR Smart Apps. The stated launch enables clinicians to launch compatible apps from a patient chart, and at the same time, improve access to external tools and data.

Hold on, we still have a couple of bits left to unpack, considering we haven’t yet touched upon the all-new an AI-assisted Upload of Patient Insurance Card, which empowers practices to view insurance cards uploaded by patients through the patient portal, telehealth intake processes, online intake processes, or the online scheduling platform.

These practices can also scan and import insurance card images directly to patient charts. We get to say because, using the uploaded image, AdvancedMD AI-assisted technology automatically imports insurance details into a patient’s chart that can then be later reviewed and saved by the healthcare provider.

Rounding up highlights would be AdvancedMD Scheduler’s bid to offer real-time visibility into provider availability and patient load percentages. The solution also provides customizable settings for both schedule and patient load to help practices tailor the experience to match their unique workflows.

“These product updates highlight how AdvancedMD is utilizing smart AI implementations across our product suite, helping to optimize daily operations for private practices. Our goal has always been focused on helping providers gain back valuable time to focus on patient care. One of our product team leaders said it best: our 2025 fall release is where innovation meets workflow,” said Amanda Sharp, CEO of AdvancedMD.
